We are very excited about the student participation and appreciate their help in raising community awareness regarding animal welfare issues in the Territory. We look forward to growing this event and increasing participation next year, said Gretchen Sherrill Director of the St. Croix Animal Welfare Center and co-sponsor of the exhibition.

In addition to the competition the VI National Guard provided a climbing wall, donkey rides were provided by Stephen O'Dae and music was provided by King Derby's young calypso group. The Coral Reef Humane Learning Center presented a puppet show that demonstrated the importance of respecting our sea life and coral reefs.

The Expo was possible because of support from Paternity and Child Support Division, The Buccaneer, Mitchel Larsen Studios, the USVI Department of Agriculture, Gold Coast Yachts, Valance Company, 21st Century Learning Grant, Cruzan Environmental Services, Sports Plus Inc, Owen Johnson Electric and the VI Waste Management Authority.
